Aaron has been working in public administration for over twenty years in both Washington and his home state of New Mexico. He began his career in academic advising as a Graduate Adviser in the Department of Economics at the University of New Mexico and later managed a low-income dental clinic for the School of Dental Hygiene and worked in Administration for the Department of Pediatrics. After moving to Seattle, Aaron began working at the University of Washington where he was the Program Coordinator for a TRIO Student Support Services Program and later a Student Services Counselor in the Enrollment and Data Services division of the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity. He has also served as the Business Manager of First Place Scholars School in Seattle's Central District.
Aaron has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and American Studies from the University of New Mexico, a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington, and was a recipient of the 2011 Bonderman Fellowship at the University of Washington.
