Deanna Morrison

Curriculum Development and Facilitation Specialist

Deanna has been a Washingtin State employee for 27 years. Children and Familiies have always been her passion. She started her career in 1994 with Juvenile Rehabilitation Adminitstration as a residential counselor. Then in 2002, she was hired by Department of Children, Youth and Families as a social worker. Deanna has a lot of experience with in child welfare and specializes in foster parent and caregiver community advocacy. Deanna has advanced her career as well as her passion in working with foster parents and the caregiver community as a curriculum development and facilitation specialist for the Alliance.

Outside of her career, Deanna shows nationally Arabian and Half Arabian horses and has done so since she was young. She travels as far as Louisville, Kentucky, and as close as Monroe, Washington. This is a hobby she and her parents enjoy together and they own several Arabian horses.
