Patty Erdman began her social work career in 2003, working for Children’s Administration as an Intake worker in the rural community of Colville, WA. In 2004, Patty was promoted to a SSW3 position and was appointed as the lead child sexual abuse investigator for Stevens and Ferry counties. Patty is a certified Child Abuse Interviewing and Assessment facilitator. Prior to working for Children’s Administration, Patty worked as a Paralegal for the Stevens County Prosecutors Office in both family law and the criminal division. In 2007, Patty was hired by Children’s Administration Headquarters as one of 12 Practice Model Coaches throughout the state to train, implement and support the integration of WA State’s Practice Model - Solution Based Casework.
Patty held the position of Practice Model Coach until 2012, when her position transferred to the UW SSW, Alliance for Child Welfare Excellence. In 2014, Patty was promoted to the Regional Education and Training Administrator for Region 1. Patty currently supervises the regional coaches and child welfare training manager. Patty currently oversees the entire Alliance workforce and caregiver training and coaching provided in the region. Patty has a strong passion for training and coaching at all levels and enjoys supporting newly hired employees and supervisors within the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Patty earned her BSS from Washington State University and her MSW from Eastern Washington University as a CWTAP student. In addition to her work at the Alliance, Patty is a contracted Field Coordinator with ForeFront Innovations in Suicide Prevention and provides local community awareness and training.
