Taylor comes to the Alliance with over 14 years of experience working with children, youth, and families, including 10 years working with DCYF Children's Administration. Taylor started with the Children's Administration (CA) in 2009. During her time at CA she worked in various programs including Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigations, CPS Family Assessment Response (FAR), Children and Family Welfare Services (CFWS), and Afterhours Field Response. Taylor was promoted to supervisor in 2015. Throughout her 10 years serving at Children's Administration, Taylor passionately advocated for efforts to eliminate racial disproportionality, and improve family engagement within the child welfare system. Taylor is excited to continue her efforts to support the child welfare workforce in her new capacity as an Alliance coach.
Prior to her work in child welfare, Taylor worked for Empowering Youth and Families Outreach, a nonprofit in south Seattle, managing and implementing their out of school programs.She earned her Masters of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2011. During that time she participated in the Child Welfare and Training Program (CWTAP).
