First-time foster parents now can complete CPR training online
The roster of courses being transitioned to a virtual format continues to grow, with the essential CPR training now available in an eLearning. For first-time foster parents who are in the final stages of the licensing process and need CPR training to complete it, the online certification addresses a huge current need. With potential foster parents unable to attend in-person classes, a special allowance has been created for this time and initial licensing requirements can be met with the online class, "Foster Parent Initial Licensing: CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens Certification."
Since this class is specifically for first-time foster parents, users must create profiles and attest they are seeking a first license in order to continue with the training.
Due to limitations for classroom trainings related to Covid-19 public health considerations, the CPR skills evaluation is currently on hold. You can complete the eLearnings and submit the certificate for licensure. Then, when the CPR skills assessment is opened again, you will be required to complete the skills assessment to be certified in CPR.
