The annual Canoe Journey is one of the major events our Tribal communities and families celebrate in Washington State. This event has brought many people together and has kept the bonds strong between our Tribal Communities in Washington State, Canada, and other parts of the country.
The Canoe Journey begins in early July and participants will navigate their way to the main host Tribe. This year, the host will be the Puyallup Tribe in the Tacoma area.  There are designated stops along the way in which each Tribe in the area will host the Canoe families and other visitors. The scheduled arrival date is between July 28th – August 4th.

The Puyallup Tribe is currently looking for volunteers to assist them in the event.  For more information about the this year’s canoe journey, or to volunteer, follow this link to the Tribe’s website or their Facebook page.
Come and join our Tribes in this annual event!
