Supervisor Conference 2018 Recap
This year’s Supervisor Conference included nearly 300 previous Children’s Administration, Department of Early Learning and Juvenile Rehabilitation Supervisors from across the state. We had amazing speakers that discussed Stability Through Change (Eric Allenbaugh), Leading Others Through Change (Greg Williamson) and Leading Effective Change (Peter Dahlin). We also had a panel that included a Representative from the 32nd Legislative District as well as members from the new DCYF Leadership team:
- Representative Ruth Kagi
- Jody Becker Deputy Secretary of Children and Families
- Heather Moss, Deputy Secretary of Operations and Infrastructure
- Connie Lambert-Eckel, Assistant Secretary to Child Welfare Field Operations
- Luba Bezborodnikova, Assistant Secretary of Licensing.
We had 12 workshops around LGBTQ+, Leading for Racial Equity, Retention, Employee Assistance Program, Partnerships for innovation and technology, Tort Implications, Parent Panel, Recruitment, Lessons Learned, Budgeting Basics and updates from the Office of Innovation, Alignment, and Accountability (OIAA).
We ended with Derek Clark a very motivational speaker about his journey through the foster care system and his success now as a motivational speaker and rapper.
