Webinar highlights tools, skills necessary to achieving permanency
When working to achieve safe, timely permanency and well-being for any child, the role of the supervisor is “pivotal in evaluating progress toward positive outcomes for children, youth, and families,” according to Washington State DCYF. The webinar training “Tools for CFWS/Adoption Supervisors” focuses on case review tools and reflective supervision to support permanency, critical thinking and reflection when supervising staff.
This three-hour webinar highlights the power of discussion and engagement, focusing on active participation to help show the process a supervisor might go through when reviewing a case. Resources shared include questions a supervisor could bring into case reviews, a tool that can translate immediately into on-the-job support. Sections also are devoted to the Permanency Planning Timeline and the FamLink Supervisor Case Review Tool.
Supervisors will emerge from this training with a better understanding of how to use the appropriate tools to encourage critical thinking and collaboration.
